Dancing with George

Brad was working on Project: BGR on Wed night this week, so Olive and I did a little dancing in the front room. She picked up George and started her moves. George got whirled and twirled and even got a piggy back ride! This girl loves to dance, she gets up and starts moving whenever the music is right - can't wait for dance lessons!!

Rory!

Olive is very much into kitties! Stuffed ones and especially REAL ones! Both of my sisters have cats and Olive is giddy with excitement when she sees either one of them! Annie's cat is named Rory and she is a very sweet kitty and very tolerant. Sunday was fun for Olive probably mainly because of her! Here are some cute pics of them and the chase!

This is Rory!

Doesn't Olive look like she is soooooo happy!

Hey Kitty where are you?

The chase is on!

Ahh finally got to get some cuddles, with Papa's help!

Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt

We celebrated Easter with the family over at my sister's house for a lovely brunch and egg hunt! It was so fun to see Olive running around with her cousins and chasing their cat (more to come on that!). We had some yummy food and then the kiddos opened their baskets from Nana & Papa (with goodies added by me and RiRi).

Then the big hunt was on! At first Olive just wanted to crack open the egg after she found it, but then she got into the hunt a little more. Thanks to her big cousin Max for sharing a few eggs with her!! So much fun!

Yummy brunch!

Happy Easter!

We spent the raining Easter morning at Nana & Papa's house - and yeah the Easter Bunny found us there! Olive got her Easter Basket full of goodies! I made the basket, duck, peep and a necklace and bracelet. She also got some stickers, 2 videos, a few Little People and of course a Curious George Easter book. She seemed to like everything. Then it was time to get cooking and ready to have brunch and an egg hunt with the family at Aunt Annie's house!!

Olive and Owen

Tonya and Owen stopped by after we were done dyeing eggs to say HI and so we could give Owen his birthday gift early (he turns 5 on May 5th)! Olive loved running around after Owen and helping him open his birthday gift. She definitely thinks the big boys are pretty cool!

Trying to get a good pic with Tonya

Yeah he likes his present!! (I made him a magnetic playset)
But didn't like Olive messing with it!

Decorating eggs

We spent the Easter weekend in Vancouver with my family. Saturday was a beautiful day and actually pretty warm! We ended the gorgeous day decorating eggs with Nana, Aunt Ri Ri and Chris! I brought a lot of stickers for Olive - so I think she enjoyed herself!

Snack with a view

This was Olive this morning enjoying her snack and the sunny view!

Cool Baby!

We have been getting glimpses of the sun lately and Olive has been more interested in Mommy's sunglasses, and her own. I keep her good pair in the car with mine so she has been wanting to wear them whenever I put mine on - she looks so cute (I will have to get a pic of her in them)!

But in the house, we have her cheapy sunglasses (free in a box of swim diapers) that she likes to wear and call herself "Cool Baby". Of course Mommy and Daddy have to wear them at times too - then she says "Cool Mama" or "Cool Dada". Last night she had them on for quite sometime while she played before bed.

Definitely a "Cool Baby!"

Looks like she is giving me a snap.

Play time!

We went to play at Tess' house today with some of our Peps friends!! Olive always has a blast with her friends. They are all getting so big and talking so much - its so cute to hear them say each other's names. As we are getting out of the car at Tess' house, Olive kept saying "Tess house" - so cute!! The little ones are going to start turning two soon, Tess is the first at the end of May. Crazy!

Hi Tess! Hi Eka in the background.

Hi Ally!

So much fun!

The Big Box

We recently ordered a bean bag chair for Olive's big girl room and it came this week in a HUGE box - well needless to say its been the source of some fun play time. This morning while Brad was working on the P:BGR (see previous post), Olive had some fun time in the box with her crocheted food! Cute girl in her footie pjs - huh!

Cute baby in a box!

Peek a boo Mommy!

The girl loves to peek.

Drumstick anyone?

Project: Big Girl Room

Has begun!! Yeah! We have about 4 months to complete Project: Big Girl Room! I really want to get Olive into her new room well before the baby gets here so she has plenty of time to adjust and not make it feel like the baby kicked her out of her room. So there are a few projects to do before its done.

This weekend, Brad started by scraping the popcorn off the ceiling - what a messy task! Next its moving the light fixture (to the middle of the room, right now its in front of the closet) and re-finishing the ceiling. Then closet, prime, paint, blinds, curtains, and the fun part - decorating!! I need to get a weekend on my sister's calendar to come up and paint Olive's room!!

I know I am more excited about this than she is, but she did have fun running around in the empty room yesterday while Daddy was prepping everything!!

Bye Bye Gross Popcorn!

20 months old!!

Olive is 20 months old today!! I can hardly believe she is going to be 2 in 4 short months!! Crazy! So this morning after bath I decided to try to put her hair in pig tails - a snack cup and ipod later she had pig tails. Not the best job, but they still look cute. I got out my camera to snap some pics and I swear she doesn't like looking at the camera for me, or I am just really really bad at taking pictures - she was cheesing (a few times) but I only got a few decent shots. She really is much cuter in person - especially with those piggy tails!! Thankfully I am taking a photography class this weekend, I hope it helps!! Happy 20 Months baby girl! You are are getting so big and talking sooooooo much!! Love you to pieces!

Cheese!

Checking out the ipod. She chose to wear the boots!

Another cheese - well kind of!

Frank's Red Hot

Olive generally likes spicy foods, so last night at dinner, Brad decided to let her try Frank's Red Hot! At first she really liked it and would pant a few times (Hot!) and then say "More dip", so her father kept giving her more, forgetting that it tends to build up in heat as you eat more!! Well after a few too many "dips" she was not happy and she wouldn't even drink milk. Thankfully another plate of strawberries helped cool her mouth down. So yeah she liked it - but not too much!

hmmm this is kinda good

Oh I think its getting hotter

Oh yeah, too hot!!

Shame on you Frank's Red Hot! (and Daddy)

1st visit to the Dentist

Olive had her first visit to the dentist yesterday morning. I forgot the camera to take some pics - unfortunately!! She was really good and didn't cry at all! You could tell she was a little nervous at times and needed me to sit in the big chair with her - but all in all, a successful first visit to the dentist!!

I am bummed I didn't get any pictures!! Oh well not the first time and probably not the last!

Chilly Park visit

Last week we were running errands in the Crossroads area of Bellevue and since it was sunny we decided to check out the Crossroads park (new since I had lived in the area - a long time ago). There is a water area that doesn't turn on until Memorial Day but Olive got to visit the frog, dragon and whales. It was a chilly morning!! All the running around of course ended with a fall and a bruised up knee - poor baby! She is still mastering the skill of running on different surfaces!

Hi Froggy!

Mom, its a dragon.
