16 weeks

We hit 16 weeks on Thursday of this week, almost done with the 4th month! I am anxiously waiting for the day when I can feel the little one moving. I think I might have felt something a week ago but not too sure. They say about 18-20 you can really start to feel it... we will see. So less than 3 weeks until our next ultrasound. I am so excited! I have been putting together powerpoints of the room layouts and paint schemes for both a girl and a boy. So my plan is in place, just need to find out so we can execute! We still have a lot of prep work on the room to do, so plenty of work until then. I will take some pics of the work in progress and post them this weekend!

More work on the baby's room

So we found out that the popcorn ceiling in the baby's room does NOT have asbestos! So Brad is going to work this weekend to remove the icky stuff! He is also going to put in another place for a light fixture, so I can have my chandelier if its a little girl!! Lots of projects to do on the room, but at least we are getting them started!! Can't wait to paint!

Grandpa Robertson's birthday

Oh and a cool bit of trivia! The baby is due on August 13th which just happens to be the baby's late Grandfather Robertson's birthday!! I wish Ron was still here to meet the little one, but as a consolation it would be cool if they could share a birthday! We will see!

Baby is still in there!

Went to the doctor this week and got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. Its just so cool!! Quickest doctor's appt on the planet though! Only 4 more weeks until the next ultrasound!

One piece of furniture down

So we found a dresser for the baby's room on Craig's List. It's a white, solid piece. With the tower on the right side and room to put a changing pad, so it will double as a changer too. It's in good condition, just had to magic eraser a few faint crayon marks, but I think it will look good in the room. Also Brad got the new closet doors in! Woohoo! Still a ton of work to do but at least its getting started!! I am looking forward to the painting and decorating!

14 weeks!

14 weeks yesterday! So the email I get every week from babycenter says the baby is about the size of a lemon now. I still can't feel it yet and I really don't look pregnant, just my normal fat self, which is annoying! Hoping the belly will pop soon - but not holding my breath. Only 5 more weeks until we get to find out if the little one is a girl or a boy!!

He/She is for real!

I'm sure most of you have seen ultrasound pictures before. For the first few months the "blob" that is your baby doesn't look anything like a person. Finally, at about 12 weeks, we got our first glipse of our baby starting to look more and more like a little person.
