Happy Birthday Jack!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my cousin's little boy - Jack! Yesterday we stopped by his little party to give him his birthday gift. He seemed to like it - but than again everything was overshadowed by the super cool trike his parents got him!! Happy Birthday Jack!

More twirling

Olive has one pair of pajamas that came with a little skirt so she was twirling and dancing to test it out the other night. She wanted to wear a hat too and she chose her ball cap (which is getting too small). She loves the ball cap! She likes to see her Daddy wearing one (and she loves to wear Daddy's caps too) and she usually keeps hers on for a while. We have to find her some new cute ones! Yeah I am biased but she sure is cute!!

Sand/Water & "baby rocks" table

We got Olive a new toy for the summer (lets just hope it shows up this year!). Its a sand and water table to play with outside. She was soooo excited when she saw the picture on the box so Daddy had to put it together right away - and since its not that warm yet we have it inside (it has an umbrella, but no need for it inside). I got some dry pinto beans (which we call baby rocks) to put in it so she could play without the mess of sand inside. Right now its definitely one of her favorite things to do.

Yard Work Sunday

The beautiful Sunday morning started out like this...

Lazy!

But then we headed out into the sunshine to get some yard work done. We (well mostly Brad) worked on cleaning up the front yard - thankfully we have the weeds manageable enough that the clean up can be done in a few hours!!

Olive had a blast playing in the "baby rocks" (the pea gravel that lines the driveway) while I weeded the rock patch and Daddy mowed and weeded the rest of the yard. I didn't have the camera outside so I only got this pic with my phone - Olive trying her best with the little rake! The yard looks great and we all got a healthy dose of Vitamin D - something we all needed!

Fun morning at the park

Last Friday morning we met Tess & Julie at Pine Lake Park to play and feed the ducks! It was a little bit chilly but we still had fun! The girls loved running around and playing on the play equipment, Tess was quite adventurous, climbing the stairs and sliding down the big slide all by herself, Olive was a little more tentative and was happy playing in the bark dust!

Then we ventured over to the water to see if we could find some ducks. There were two Daddy ducks that decided they could use a snack. Thanks to Tess and Julie for bringing the bread! It was a fun morning, looking forward to a summer filled with more mornings like this!
